Inforum, The Commonwealth Club’s Innovation Lab, is looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join our team. We are an innovative and hard-working team that curates some of San Francisco’s most inspiring public talks with leaders in tech, food, culture, design, business and social impact such as Sheryl Sandberg, Chuck Palahniuk, Cornel West, Jared Diamond, Andy Cohen and Reid Hoffman. Our next Producer will help us innovate, grow and continue to deliver on impactful and timely events.
Working with Inforum’s community of speakers, board members, team members and partners will expand your network, deepen your impact on San Francisco and teach you the leadership skills you need to develop your career. Inforum's Producer will research, book speakers, learn industry trends, write copy, manage volunteers, author and design marketing and sales strategy.
We will provide you with comprehensive ongoing training to familiarize you with our event production process as well as with all aspects of the sales, marketing and event management process. From there, your success will be driven by your personal motivation, persistence, keen instincts and ability to identify cultural trends and connect with strategic partners, industry experts and community leaders.
As an event Producer, you will be asked to build six programs from scratch and to support the additional 20–25 programs that Inforum hosts each year. The ideas for these event concepts are generated by keeping abreast of cultural trends, connecting with industry leaders and responding to the most pressing issues of our time. You will help craft the vision for the events, onboard the speakers to it and deliver the experience on-the-day.
You will also lead Inforum’s marketing production. As the key lead for our marketing collateral, you’ll bring a discerning eye and modern taste to Inforum’s email design, event images and outreach platforms.
We will work together to ensure best results in attendance, quality experiences and event revenues. You will manage campaign affairs and strategy leading into the event and the on-the-day experience of all attendees. Your industry knowledge, connections and reputation will grow with every delivered event and soon you will have experts reaching out to you to be a part of your productions.
As a successful Producer, you must be a true “hunter” type with a tremendous amount of motivation and commitment to produce results. Your unwavering sense for design will elevate our content and brand.
